I love sugar snap peas, snow pea pods and the like, but Le Seur peas taste really bad to me.

Ah now see, I know of only one type of pea - guess that would be the snow peas. Right out of the pod, fresh from the garden, LOVE THEM. lol

I love snow peas or sugar peas too--raw or cooked in stir fry. Hope your back is better.
